Powerhouse is a leading Dutch energy player which offers B2B clients access to a digital Energy-as-a-Service power and gas trading platform. The platform allows users to optimise their energy sourcing strategy by providing direct market access in order to buy and sell energy products at any moment in time. Powerhouse generates yearly net revenues of more than €1bn, employs ~100FTE and has a market share of ~5% of the total Dutch power and gas consumption volume. Role as Chief Digital Officer, part of the Powerhouse Management Board, responsible for delivering a new cloud-based Software-as-a-Service solution which will replace the current platform. The new platform will as well serve as a contract-to-meter-to-cash platform and will be sold as SaaS to other utilities and energy service companies.

RWE's NL Commerical Asset Management department manages the shareholder position of RWE in asset-based Joint Ventures and Partnerships in the Netherlands and is responsible for all commercial contracts. The subject of my thesis is 'the application of high temperature thermal energy storage in combined heat and power plants'. The application of thermal energy storage can increase the flexibility and efficiency of a CHP plant.
