Company Neftekhim LTD LLP, a downstream petrochemical refinery producing: MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether), granulated polypropylene and soft polypropylene. The first petrochemical plant in the Republic of Kazakhstan, built in 2009, was one of the most successful breakthrough projects in Kazakhstan, and today produces more than 170,000 tons of petrochemical products per year.

The National Company accounts for 25% of crude oil and gas condensate production, as well as 15% of natural and associated gas production domestically. Its trunklines are used to transport 56% of Kazakhstan's oil and 79% of gas. JSC NC "KazMunayGas" is among the biggest employers, with the number of employees of over 80,000.
