A proven Business Development Director, with over seventeen years experience working in international markets within the Roofing & Cladding, façade and controlled environment industry. I continuously demonstrate my skills in sales, strategic planning, business development and in the management of both sales and people. I am primarily responsible for increasing Kingspans market penetration and commercial performance in Australia. In order to maximise sales I actively promote, educate and specify building envelope solutions utilising the full portfolio of products to targeted external stakeholders on new and existing opportunities. These include End Users, Property Funders/Developers, Design Teams, Builders, Engineers, Envelope and Coldstore Contractors. I have experience operating within such sectors as Retail, Health, Transport, Hotel & Leisure, Defence, Education, Entertainment, Data Centres, Commercial & Industrial, Cold/Chill Stores, amongst others. As part of the education process, I demonstrate the significant benefits to be realised particularly when a building is designed holistically and is used as a cost effective alternative to traditional methods of construction such as, tilt-up/precast and built up roof, wall and façade materials. Fundamentally, Kingspan systems superior ‘R’ values, coupled with low air leakage rates and optimised lighting solutions enables a reduction in the size of the design of HVAC systems, which in turn leads to substantial ongoing operational cost savings. Once this is combined with the additional benefits of large spanning capabilities (eliminating considerable amounts of secondary steel), pre-fabricated single component installation and design flexibility, it creates for an extremely attractive proposal. Role & Responsibilities To Increase our market penetration and sales of Kingspan Insulated panels systems. This involves maximising sales through actively promoting and specifying our portfolio of products to all agreed stakeholders on existing and new opportunities, with a view to improving the overall commercial performance of the Australian business. Key Focus At early stages acquire information on major projects/end users which have the potential or will utilise Kingspan Insulated Panel Products and pursue until an order is placed. During the specification process ensure that focus is placed on products which provide unique selling features and competitive advantage and that any decision makers are influenced including End Users/multi-national accounts, Property Funders, Property Developers, Design Teams, Builders, Steel Fabricators and External Envelope Contractors. As above, but projects which are specified with competitor products but have the potential to be converted into utilising Kingspan Insulated Panel Products. Build and develop relationships with agreed Tier 1 & 2 Builders (incuding D&C) and Architects at a higher level to ensure current and future specifications are protected/developed and delivered.
