  • Sr. Systems Engineer at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health
    Jun 2015 - Mar 2022 · 6 yrs 10 mos

On a team of engineers responsible for all infrastructure services for the hospital. Services engineered and provided, SSO (Imprivata One Sign), MDM (Microsoft InTune), Server Virtualization (VMware ESXi 6.5), Storage Management (Pure and IBM), Microsoft Services (Exchange, Skype, SCCM, SCOM, MFA, ADFS, File and Print), Virtual Desktop (Horizon View 7), Server and Blade Technologies (HP and IBM), Citrix Xen App 6.5 *My main responsibilities are to evaluate, design and implement new solutions for the hospital. Also, I work closely with the project management team to ensure solutions are delivered on time. Specific accomplishments: •Design and implement an SSO solution paired with badge readers that enables users to tap their badge once and access the EMR with no additional credentials provided. This enhanced the provider’s ability to engage the patient and focus on their care without extra time spent navigating technology. This badge tap technology also increased our endpoint security by allowing our users to secure every endpoint with just a badge tap. *Implement an MDM solution to secure corporate data and enforce best practice security policies on every mobile device. The process was designed to be self-service and with excellent documentation and training of support staff. We enrolled over 1000 devices from user’s personal devices to mobile devices used throughout the hospital for patient care. *Responsible for designing and build of VDI solution based on Horizon View 7 and integrated with Imprivata tap and go solution to provide true follow-me desktop. Production Horizon View environment built and the project is currently in pilot awaiting funding.
