Responsible for providing technical support, project management mentorship, resource / workload support and general Facilities Engineering oversite to Vermilion Energy's European Business Units in France, Ireland, Netherlands and Eastern Europe, In addition, the primary Facilities Engineering contact for technical support, project management and project execution in the Germany Business Unit.
- Responsible supervisor of a +20 member team (staff & contractors) managing; - the asset integrity of approximately 415 wells, 20 installations (major depots, terminals, field batteries), 150 pressure vessels,100 tanks and over 700 km of pipelines - the facilities engineering team responsible for providing technical expertise and support services to operations, maintenance and asset development teams, trouble shooting and developing solutions to production process problems and planning, detailed engineering and construction execution for new build, large maintenance and optimization projects - Uphold Vermilion’s corporate CORE values of Excellence, Trust, Respect and Responsibility in our teams work - Enforce the corporate Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS) and lead the life‐cycle management approach of: Plan, Do, Check & Act to ensure the implementation of specific Field Integrity Plans for piping, pipe racks, tanks, pressure equipment, pipelines and wells for France - Lead the process safety and securities standards initiatives for facilities designs and drive a Process Hazard Assessment focus on new projects and the implementation of periodic HAZOP on Vermilion's existing French facilities and installations. - Support the Event Management Procedure (HSE accidents, equipment failures, corrosion events) to lead event investigations data collection, root cause analysis and corrective actions plans implementation - Support regulatory reviews and audits and ensure compliance actions are completed and closed‐out - Support strategic long range development planning, capital expenditure budgets, facility capacity and optimization reviews - Steward the development of various energy valorization projects (waste gas & heat) projects as part of the French energy transition focus
- Responsible for the design, engineering , planning and execution of various capacity improvements, facilities upgrades, pipeline replacements, maintenance and integrity projects in the Bassin Parisien operating district - Lead the new well tie‐in programs in the Champotran and Néocomien fields following success drilling campaigns - Worked with operations and maintenance teams to help identify process optimization, debottlenecking and operation improvement projects then develop innovative and technical solutions followed by the execution and implementation - Lead the technical design of polymer injection facilities for an enhanced‐oil‐recovery scheme in the Chuelles and Chaunoy fields - Lead the implementation of the use of spoolable pipeline technologies for the first pipeline rehabilitation operation and conventional installation of FlexSteel composite pipeline material in France - Provided technical mentorship to improve technical competencies & innovations, project stewardship and HSE focus initiatives specifically: - Construction Supervisor competencies (training, pre‐job meetings, risk identification, safety focus, work coordination) - Process Hazard Assessments (HAZOP and risk analysis’s) templates and philosophies - Engineering quality improvements and technical standardization(piping specifications, material selection) - Lead and support European business development projects: - Leader of the Project Girata (Germany ENGIE Asset acquisition) due diligence review and was the Facilities Engineering leader through the operations transition and integration phases - Supported various A&D projects in Hungary and Romania
- Design and construction management of sweet and sour oil and gas facilities and conventional heavy oil projects including polymer injection, water flood facilities, oil battery modifications / upgrades, compression station installation and pipeline construction throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan. - Planning and execution of high sour gas plant and gathering system projects of various scale in Olds Gas Unit No. 1 (Various Olds Gas Plant modifications and upgrades, Claus / Super Claus Sulphur Plant modifications, high sour pipeline design and construction, sour water injection pipeline and facilities, compressor installations and modifications, gas & oil well tie‐in & facilities in proximity to highly developed and sensitive populated areas) - 2008 & 2012 Olds Gas Plant Turnaround Pre‐planning & Execution - Olds Sour Gathering System Integrity Program Execution: Pipeline risk analysis, ILI runs, digs / repairs / testing (High-H2S gas content experience up to 40%) - Execution of various geotechnical and environmental reclamation / remediation projects - Joint‐Venture and A&D consolidation projects – Commercial development / Integration / consolidation of new assets into core operations
- Turn‐key Project Management, Engineering, Planning, Execution and Construction Management various sweet and sour oil and gas facilities and pipeline projects of various scales in Alberta and British Columbia - Manage project execution with clients, stakeholders and inter‐discipline engineering departments (process, mechanical, I/E, procurement, etc.) to ensure quality engineering within cost, schedule & design specifications.
- Project Management of various pipeline integrity, maintenance and construction projects (Smart ILI pigging, inspection digs, integrity hydrotesting, launcher / receiver installations & piping modifications) on the Alberta, Canadian Mainline and Western US pipeline systems. - Program Manager of the Transfer Compressor Program and stewarded the deployment, maintenance and upgrade projects.
