About

I train and support professionals to engage men in accountable, behaviour-changing responses to gender-based violence. As a Clinical Trainer with the Centre for Research and Education on Violence Against Women and Children (CREVAWC), I design and deliver evidence-based training that moves beyond insight toward practical skill. I am also a co-developer of the Caring Dads Program, helping practitioners centre child safety while working effectively with fathers who have used violence. With 35+ years in the individual and family services sector—including serving as former Executive Director of Changing Ways and leading the Family Violence Counselling Program at the Children’s Aid Society of Oxford County—I bring extensive experience in high-risk clinical work, supervision, and consultation. My approach integrates trauma- and violence-informed care, critical feminist theory, CBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing—always with a focus on accountability, respect, and real-world application. I’m particularly interested in bridging direct practice with organizational strategy, helping systems and practitioners respond to risk with clarity, consistency, and impact.
