Currently between opportunities, and on a quest to find my next "great adventure" ... I worked at TrebleNetwork as a member of their business development team from 2017-19. TREBLE is a new networking relationship management (NRM) platform/app designed to help you manage, grow & leverage your network of trusted contacts to create business opportunities and advance your career. Prior to that I had a wonderful 26 year run in the capital markets. I was apart of some amazing teams when I worked at Piper Jaffray, Stifel Nicolaus and Legg Mason. I loved working on my client’s needs, to solve their immediate and long-term problems. It took hard work, 100% everyday. My entire career was built around 3 core principles shared with me by a prior mentor that guide me daily. I refer to them as the three “I’s” for success: Integrity: Always deliver 100% to your client; never compromise on their expectations or your values. Truth and honesty are the backbone to building successful relationships. Intelligence: Know your business. Know your products and services, know the regulatory environment … and most importantly, always know your customer. In doing so, you possess a competitive advantage, gain their confidence, and win. Initiative: Be self-motivated and capitalize on opportunities. Go the extra mile and ‘over deliver’ on your client expectations. Be creative, innovative and resourceful at all times. By embracing these core principles, I built a robust business that provided my customers with effective solutions, that allowed them to achieve the results they desired and grow their business. In my free time, you’ll find me pursuing one of my many passions. My interests are varied, and range from vintage sports car racing (it’s thrilling!) to ice hockey (best sport ever) to amateur photography (my artsy side) and, of course, my family … which I feel is truly my greatest achievement. As a successful, financial services sales executive, my accountabilities and achievements included: • Delivered 20+ new client relationships to in first year with AUM of $150mm - $8 billion. • Recognized 4 times in the last 2 years for developing customized client centric solutions. • Increased revenue by almost 50% by advising clients of their capital risks, investment alternatives and executing portfolio swaps in volatile markets.
My primary role was to grow the fixed income business at Stifel through the marketing and selling of the various fixed-income products/services. My responsibilities and successes included: • Consistent top producer averaging $1.4mm in sales revenue for last 6 yrs. • Doubled commission revenue in last 5 years from $900k to $2.1mm. • Developed 5-10 new client relationships annually. • Received multiple Top 5 Monthly Salesperson and Top 20 Annual Salesperson awards.
While at Legg Mason, I developed deeper relationships with my existing clients and was responsible for expanding Legg Mason's presence through out the mid-west. • Consistent top producer averaging $1.1mm in sales revenue during last 5 yrs. • Integrated the Strategies Advisory Group and personal in-depth knowledge of industry specific parameters to achieve optimized investment portfolios • Identified and developed 5-10 new highly profitable relationships annually. • Acheived multiple Top 5 Monthly and Top 20 Annual Salesperson awards.
As a member of the Direct Issuer funding team, I: • Managed the daily cash flow worksheets, and worked with 4 different corporate treasury departments to determine the net funding requirements for each program. • Provided daily liquidity of $300mm - $500mm across the 4 different Direct Issue Commercial Paper programs. • Developed multiple new relationships to broaden the investor base and improve the distribution of each of the funding programs.
