Tilman Wolf is Deputy Chancellor for Operational and Organizational Strategies, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He directs strategic campus initiatives, such as carbon reduction, capital project planning, flexible learning, and organizational efficiency. He oversees campus-wide teaching-support units and is responsible for space assignments. Previously, he led the effort to establish a new Department of Biomedical Engineering, for which he served as interim department head. He is engaged in research and teaching in the areas of computer networks, cybersecurity, embedded systems, and machine learning. He is a co-author of the book "Architecture of Network Systems" and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. His research has been supported by grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry. He has taught numerous courses on computer networks, embedded systems, machine learning, programming, and digital design. He is a Fellow of the IEEE.
