Hagen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
As a Chair Professor in Information Management at FernUniversität in Hagen and Spokesperson for the Digital Health section of GI (German Informatics Society), I bridge the worlds of academic research, digital innovation, and practical application. My mission is to democratize digital education and empower lifelong learners with the skills essential for success in our increasingly digital society. Drawing from my extensive experience at Copenhagen Business School, where I served as Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Digital Curriculum, I've developed expertise in digital transformation, particularly in healthcare and public sectors. My work spans cloud computing, IT governance, and digital innovation, with a special focus on Digital Health and Digital Entrepreneurship. At FernUniversität in Hagen, I lead a dynamic team committed to advancing research in digital transformation while making education more accessible. We continue to develop and expand selfsurvey.org, an open benchmarking platform that connects academic insights with practical business applications. Our research findings directly inform both policy and practice, helping organizations navigate their digital future.
