Hello, my name is Tiago Gola Pedro. Electrical engineering was my starting point. Today, what drives me is turning complexity into results with vision, precision and impact. Since 2017, I have worked in the renewable energy sector, with projects in Brazil, Europe and Africa. At MCA, I lead the development of storage and solar PV systems, including the delivery of an 800 MWh project in Angola. My trajectory has evolved from technical engineering to strategic management. I now oversee high-level decision-making, lead supplier negotiations, manage commercial operations and evaluate technical and financial feasibility with a focus on long-term value. I work to build energy solutions that perform, grow and create value for the planet.
Managed the development of the company’s solar and storage portfolio, with a strategic role in technical and commercial decisions with focus on financial structuring. Key contributions: - Led the design and development of turnkey hybrid PV + BESS solutions. - Maintained strong technical leadership by overseeing electrical designs, system architectures, and interface definitions across hybrid PV + BESS solutions. - Actively participated in the planning and negotiation of EPC and BoP contracts, ensuring efficiency and risk mitigation. - Engaged directly with executives, investors, and international suppliers to support investment and new business decisions This role marked my transition to strategic leadership without losing sight of the technical backbone that sustains performance and long-term value.
Managed cross-functional integration and stakeholder coordination on one of the company’s largest international initiatives: the Solar 2 project, delivering clean energy to over 60 municipalities in Africa through solar and battery systems. Core responsibilities: - Developed and maintained executive-level project schedules. - Aligned engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to enable seamless project execution. - Managed the project and logistical integration of solar and BESS systems under complex conditions and obligations. - Led institutional communication with international partners, suppliers, and multicultural teams. - Provide technical and commercial support to Efacec Renewables Business Units throughout the tendering process, development, and EPC phases of PV projects. Contact with new clients and subcontractors. - Design PV Plants using specific software, including the civil, mechanical scope of works; - Definition of technical specifications for tendering and project execution; - Design the engineering solution according to the technical requirements and specifications defined; - Perform the dimensional calculation of the solution’s characteristics, developing the engineering project more suited local characteristics; - Site surveys; - PVsyst based Energy Forecast execution and analyses;
Engenharia e Construção - AES Tietê Energia - Validação e viabilidade do projeto básico e avaliação de projeto executivo de três usinas fotovoltaicas, AGV(94MWp), Boa Hora(82MWp) e Mackenzie(500kWp), todas em construção e localizadas no estado de São Paulo. Responsável pela elaboração e estudo técnico da geração utilizando o software PvSyst. - Efetuar todo o processo de cotação e contratação de inversores fotovoltaicos e EPCista (Empresa responsável pela elaboração do projeto e construção) para usinas fotovoltaicas no modelo geração centralizada AGV Solar e Boa Hora (94MWp e 82MWp) e o projeto de geração distribuída no modelo Carport da Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (500kWp). Além de realizar as Equalizações de proposta técnica e comercial. - Reunião de negócios com os principais fornecedores de serviços e equipamentos como EPC´s, módulos, estruturas, inversores e transformadores e participação nos processos de contratação. - Participação de todo o processo junto às entidades ANEEL, EPE, CCEE e ONS para a obtenção da informação de acesso, parecer de acesso, elaboração das características técnicas, e outros processos junto ao regulatório. - Visitas na usina solar de Guaimbe (181MWp) para avaliar as melhores práticas de Engenharia. Elaboração de relatório técnico junto à AES Corp afim de melhorar o desempenho e entrega da usina para o time de operação da AES Tietê.
Suporte na elaboração de estudos e projetos de geração solar fotovoltaica e eficiência energética, usando softwares específicos, Helioscope e PVsyst. Auxílio na montagem de propostas técnico-comerciais para fornecedores e apresentações internas. Emitir relatórios de acompanhamento de produção de energia. Auxiliar com contratos, pedidos de compras e outros documentos jurídicos e de compliance
Technical Feasibility Analysis Participar dos processos de elaboração de projetos na rede de transmissão. Elaborar soluções técnicas, orçar, interagir com áreas internas para elaborar projetos. Apoiar o levantamento de informações da base instalada para acompanhamento da evolução da rede. Ajuda na elaboração de soluções para trazer clientes para a rede TIM, a partir de demandas de MKT. Levantar base de dados e elaborar gráficos apropriados.
Elaboração de projetos envolvendo rede de dados (MetroEthernet) sobre fibras ópticas.
