I am currently a penultimate-year student at UCL, studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Fluent in both Vietnamese and English, I am also learning Mandarin to broaden my global perspective. I thrive on challenges and am committed to continuous learning as I explore opportunities in the financial sector. Feel free to reach out!
I was selected as a tutor on UCL’s Next Chapter programme, a 12-week in-school literacy initiative supporting Year 7 pupils from underrepresented backgrounds in London. My job was to deliver weekly small-group tutoring sessions using National Literacy Trust resources, focusing on improving reading comprehension, confidence, and engagement. I had to adapt activities to different learning styles, create a supportive learning environment, and act as a positive role model for higher education, contributing to UCL’s widening participation mission.
As Head of Welfare and Events Manager for the UCL PPE society, I organize academic and social events to foster community engagement and interdisciplinary discussion among PPE students. Along with that I also act as a point of contact for welfare concerns, ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment within the society.
I contributed to the editorial and research process behind a range of social and economic stories. I assisted journalists with background research and helped fact-check articles before publication. This experience strengthened my writing and communication skills and provided me with valuable insight into how media can shape public understanding of current affairs.
I returned to the State Bank of Vietnam to work in the Credit Department for Economic Sectors, where I assisted in analyzing credit trends and evaluating loan portfolios across key industries. I contributed to sector-specific financial reports and supported the preparation of regulatory compliance documents, collaborating closely with senior analysts on credit risk assessments. Building on my previous experience at the Bank, this role deepened my understanding of sectoral credit dynamics and the regulatory landscape within Vietnam’s financial system.
As a content writer at UniScoops, I research and produce accessible and engaging breakdowns of university-level topics, aiming to make academic insights available to all. By providing key takeaways, critical thinking prompts, and links for further exploration, I help readers build knowledge and confidence in higher education content - regardless of their background or prior experience.
