San Diego Metropolitan Area
- Working with the President and IVP (Internal Vice President), I plan and coordinate all types of events and activities VSA hosts - Leads the Family System which is responsible for member retention and fosters collaboration among general members - Organizes the VSA Intern System, where passionate members of VSA are able to shadow and learn necessary skills like communication, managing finances, and marketing. - Keeps regular contact with the larger community of NorCal UVSA and any other external organizations which we regularly engage and collaborate with.
-Plan multiple large and small scale events for the UCSC VSA organization with budgets and attendance caps -In charge of building a "family" within UCSC VSA to create closer bonds within our organization with each family having about 60 general members. -Creating a comfortable space for new members in order to keep our retention numbers high.
-Coordinates with other large-scale organizations to make engineering skills more accessible by creating workshops to help young female engineering students learn work-applicable skills such as Soldering, 3D Printing, and CAD. -Works with local companies and engineers to create a close network of mentors and mentees.
