There are two types of kids with a new box of Legos: the ones who dump everything on the floor to start building, and the ones who sort every brick by color and size first. I was the sorter... While my friends were excited to build the castle, I was quietly obsessing over the inventory. I just couldn't enjoy the "building" part until I knew exactly where every piece was. That instinct never went away. Today, instead of Legos, I organize supply chain data. However, I don't build the product, and I don't sell it. I simply work in the background. By cleaning data and refining forecasts, I want to ensure the builders never have to stop looking for a missing brick.
