With some + EUR 500m under management NRW.BANK has a portfolio of venture capital funds. These include amongst others the current EUR 150m NRW.Venture Fund In addition NRW.BANK is active as LP in venture funds managed by third parties with + 20 LP commitments in leading European VC funds. I head up the Digital & Technology Ventures of NRW.BANK with responsibilities for all investments the bank does in these segements.
Gründerfonds Ruhr / Founders Fund Ruhr is an EUR 34.5m early stage venture funds focused on innovative technology companies in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolis region. It is the first private sector early stage venture funds in the region and draws on strong network of LPs consisiting of premier German industry and banking players (incl. NRW.BANK). I am one of the managing directors of Gründerfonds Ruhr.
