About

As a Director in the Financial Institutions practice of Boston Consulting Group and as part of BCG's global Retail Banking leadership team, I am a recognised and trusted voice in Retail Banking. In using my functional competence in end-to-end digitization and banking operations, I am known for cutting through complexity. My motivation is to help people grow, figure out the best solutions and ultimately, improve things – for companies and individuals. Throughout my two decades with BCG, I have gained incredible insights from my work in strategy, processes optimization, digital solutions, organizational effectiveness and more. More importantly, I have learned what it takes to drive change – from a position of strength or in a turnaround situation. I had the chance to work with brilliant minds in many countries: mainly but not only in Germany, where I live in Frankfurt, in Toronto where I spent a good year, and in Scandinavia where I spent seven years in Copenhagen leading BCG’s Nordic Financial Institutions practice. With outstanding people and countless opportunities to grow, it is no surprise that for many consecutive years, BCG has ranked in the top 5 of Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For”. I have a PhD in Economics and an interest for Politics and Philosophy. I value my integrity highly and I care about doing what is ‘right’. This thread runs through everything I do, from my work and the people I work with to my roles outside the office as a husband and a father.
