Speaking engagements, press and collaborations: [email protected] - I am fortunate to have gained plenty of varied experiences both professionally and in life. I believe in loyalty and hard work which has helped me reach many goals. "Life" is a subject to be discussed by just about anyone. However most would agree that we are all responsible for the footprints we plant and our actions determine what will happen next. In my personal life I have already achieved the following goals: - summited Mt. Kilimanjaro - trekked up to Everest Base Camp - got engaged on top of Mt. Kenya - completed 3 full marathons - paddled 452km around an island on a solo kayak trip - motor biked 13,000km over 4 months from Asia to Europe - motor biked from California to Panama City, 9 countries, 31 days - accomplished more than half a million steps in a week (386 km / 240 mi) - visited every country in Africa without flying or returning home in between - Became the first in history to reach every country in the world, in an unbroken journey, completely without flying (23/5-2023) - promoted every country on earth in a positive light. - represented the worlds largest humanitarian organization globally while raising funds and awareness. I was given the honor of acting as Goodwill Ambassador for the Danish Red Cross while I traveled to every country in the World on the "Once Upon a Saga" project. 203 countries in total. The journey took place without flight and primarily through scheduled ground transportation. The Project was partnered with: Ross Energy #DeeperUnderstanding (financial support) Salomon (clothing) Skabertrang / Kameli (websolutions) DB Schenker Denmark (currier shipments) Red Sand Solutions (logistics) The Danish Red Cross did not financially sponsor the project. The relationship was purely of mutual benefit for both parties and at large in order to benefit the Red Cross organization Worldwide. Between 2013 and 2023 I visited and promoted the movement throughout every country in the world while donating blood, raising funds and raising awareness for humanitarian work. Honorary titles: - Life Member, Bahamas Red Cross - Honorary Member, Seyschelles Red Cross - Life Member, Kenya Red Cross - Humanitarian Ambassador, Sudan Red Crescent - Honorary medallion received by the Lebanese Red Cross Society (LRCS) This was a great adventure!!
The Emergency Response Unit (ERU) is a team of trained technical specialists, ready to be deployed at short notice, which uses pre-packed sets of standardized equipment. The ERUs are designed to be self-sufficient for one month and can operate for up to four months. The ERUs are vital in the IFRC's (International Federation of the Red Cross) disaster response tools system.
A complicated logistical challenge of historical proportion, humanitarian value and a great source for inspiration. The "Saga" was an unbroken journey for 1 man to reach every single country in the World in a single unbroken journey - completely without the use of flight! Until July 2023 it had never before been achieved. The World has been conquered geographically by travelers about 400 times throughout history. But it had yet to see it done completely without the use of flight. It was a "mountain" yet to be climbed. In order to understand the "Saga" better it could be seen as 3 individual projects: 1) An unprecedented achievement of reaching every country without flight along with all of its complicated logistics (203 countries). 2) A positive promotion of each country sharing stories of positive experiences to counter the negatives we see in the media (203 countries). 3) A positive promotion of the Red Cross Red Crescent movement which was founded in 1863 and today spanned across 192 nations. As such the Saga was known to provide four key elements for those who partake: - Inspiration - Motivation - Entertainment - Education "A stranger is a friend you've never met before" Once Upon a Saga - social media Blog/Webpage: www.onceuponasaga.dk Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube
