Lead a strategic initiative to build out a comprehensive Data Mesh catalog platform with Collibra as core metadata repository and data governance. * Source metadata across the enterprise (Primarily focused on snowflake and S3) into Collibra as a central metadata platform for efficiency. * Build out data governance workflows to certify data and provision access for the Data Governance team. * Provide views for easy downloading Snowflake and S3 metadata Collibra (SAAS) Api’s to allow applications to integrate from a single source for metadata.
Data Product Owner Lead a strategic initiative to build a self service data governance application reading Hadoop files which automatically validates GDPR, CCPA, and Privacy rules and remedies datasets which significantly reduced engineering involvement (80%). * Interpret regulatory rules with privacy and legal teams to build into the self service governance application. * Build out data producer workflows which allows automation of data governance requirements. * Build out a comprehensive compliance reporting and status for data producers and managers. * Own yearly objectives and translate them into quarterly and monthly objectives. * Provide engineering requirements through agile methodologies (JIRA) * Run Sprint planning and retrospectives as scrum master. * Interpret requirements and convert them into stories for development to implement. * Coordinate with data producers and engineers to adopt through brown bag sessions.
