I serve as chair of the Kegler Brown's Employee Benefits & ERISA area, and also focuses my practice in the areas of estate planning, business succession and tax law. I have been with the firm since 2008 and have been practicing law since 1978.
I work with clients, from individuals to large organizations, to achieve their goals with the design, implementation, and administration of both qualified and non-qualified retirement and deferred compensation plans. Additionally, I represent closely-held businesses and business owners regarding fringe benefits, compensation planning, 409A issues and insurance planning. I counsel clients and have served as an expert witness in ERISA litigation cases with respect to both pension and welfare benefit plan matters. With mergers or acquisitions, I regularly assists clients with the employee benefit issues that surround these transactions. Another focus of my practice is the work in business succession and estate planning. I counsel individuals and business owners on sophisticated techniques to accomplish their estate planning and business succession objectives.
