Simply put, employees perform their “work” “step by step” using their “tools.” These three aspects are always intertwined and are named and weighted differently in every company and profession. Therefore, it is crucial to develop a common understanding in order to find the right balance. To put it even more simply: employees must understand their work and their tools – and today, the use of “tools” means the creation of clean data. That is why, for me, the employee is the active, forward-looking, and independent foundation. The work steps they perform are a systematic method for achieving a goal. This can be achieved through muscle power or with the help of technology. A few words on artificial intelligence: Anyone who has natural and robust work steps today, and these are already clear, repeatable, and measurable, does not need artificial intelligence. This is because natural intelligence only needs AI technology when a comprehensive understanding of real structures alone is no longer sufficient.
Architecture is about more than just drawing diagrams. It is also about communication and research. It is the ability to gather information to solve problems.
