After starting as a reinsurance intern at Allianz where we developed NatCat models for hail and storm, I transitioned to the P&C pricing of Allianz in 2012. After years of experience in different segments I had the chance to lead a team of motor insurance experts within the technical area of Allianz where we kept on improving the pricing but also developed products, worked on portfolio cleansing measures and generally tried to improve the growth potential and the profitability of the portfolio each and every day. In 2020 I decided to move on to ERGO in order to broaden my horizon after more than a decade at Allianz. Currently I am working with my P&C actuarial team at ERGO Austria on topics that range from IFRS17 all the way to insurance pricing of P&C products. Especially the introduction of IFRS17 and growing a team from 4 to 10+ members are experiences I will always remember as they shaped me as a person and as a leader.
