I have been in sales and marketing as well as project management for the past 20 years. My experience up until 2011 had been mostly in the medical sales field, where my expertise was on the sale and service of high end medical capital equipment. Since the year 2001 the medical equipment ranged anywhere from $150,000 - $1 million dollar medical systems usually sold to individual hospitals where the equipment was used in the hospital's operating rooms for neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedics, urology and general surgery. From 2007 to 2011 the medical equipment ranged from $3 million to $5 million equipment called stereotactic radiosurgical systems that were sold and used mainly in top cancer centers throughout the midwest. These cancer centers included the University of Kansas Medical Center, St. Luke's Hospital, University of Chicago Medical Center, University of Illinois, Chicago Medical Center, Rush Presbyterian, St. Francis Medical Center (Wichita, KS) and Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS. For the past 5 years my experience has been in the construction field which began when I purchased my own asphalt company to provide paving solutions for commercial parking lots and residential driveways throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan area including St. Joseph, MO, Lawrence, KS and Topeka, KS. Since 2016 I have been in the warehouse management industry.
Manage and supervise more than 30 associates in the Outbound fulfillment of more than 2,000 customer orders per day. Work hand in hand with the two owners on day to day operations and bringing on new clients. Managed the picking, packing, receiving, dock, inventory, and shipping departments.
Manage and supervise over 50 associates in Outbound Fulfillment. Responsible for the timely shipment of more than 25,000 customer packages per night. My role also includes HR, payroll, training/coaching and working with upper management to ensure that operations run smoothly. The Picking Department and Shipping Department I manage both rank #1 out of the four continuous shifts that run non-stop at Jet.com.
Manage and coach employees to improve performance, assist management on projects for process improvement, and view and analyze numbers for business needs throughout the warehouse but mainly in Quality Control, Outbound Printing and Shipping and our Fedex / Dock departments. I also work hand in hand with the Process Managers to ensure that the Jet.com Gardner warehouse can achieve its goals daily in shipping out over 10,000 customer orders per day.
