As an accounting intern for Howard Hanna, my primary objective was to implement a new method for preparing prepaid account reconciliations in order to allow the company to recognize changes from month to month. I also had the responsibility of preparing bank, prepaid, and accrual account reconciliations. During my internship I assisted in the search for unrecorded invoices by finding invoices that exceeded the material threshold and ensuring they were posted in the proper accounting period. Another responsibility of mine as an accounting intern was to enter invoices into accounts payable and journal entries into the general ledger.
