With over 20 years of experience in legal, risk, and compliance leadership roles, I am currently serving as General Manager, Risk & Compliance at MTN Group, where I lead strategic risk, compliance, and governance initiatives across a complex and dynamic multinational environment. In this role, I focus on strengthening enterprise-wide compliance frameworks, fostering ethical business practices, and enabling sustainable growth through pragmatic and business-oriented risk management solutions. Prior to joining MTN Group, I was an Executive Advisor at Nordea, the largest financial services group in the Nordic region, where I provided strategic guidance and support within the Group Legal function. My work focused on aligning legal and regulatory requirements with business objectives, while advising on complex and sensitive matters including cross-border transactions, investigations, disputes, and regulatory risk. Previously, I served as Head of Development at Nordea, leading the design and implementation of the group-wide trade compliance framework and policies. Before that, I was Head of Legal & Compliance, Middle East and Africa at Nokia, where I managed legal and compliance operations and risks across 47 countries. I am passionate about delivering commercially focused and pragmatic legal, risk, and compliance solutions that support responsible growth and operational resilience.
