Sourcing •Develop global commodity business plan within cross-functional teams Lead CSS management. • Develop sourcing strategies & develop/analyze competitor & market data • Perform benchmarking activities such as market tests to create/maintain a world-class supply base • Create commodity strategy and update Strategic Development System • Develop and maintain full service suppliers capable of meeting quality, cost, timing and technology targets • Explore and develop low cost sourcing suppliers. • Implement strategies to meet low cost sourcing objective with lowest total cost. • Source parts and obtain cross functional buy-in from the team based on written commodity strategies • Lead cross functional teams in supplier re-sourcing actions • Place production purchase / tool order in line with target agreement Quality • Drive the philosophy of continuous improvement into the supply base • Process Q1 deviations and obtain the appropriate signatures (if required) • Monitor supplier’s Q1 activities including Q1 deviations/waivers and Q1action plan implementation with STA (led by STA) • Resolve recall issues and settlements (Warranty charge back process) Cost • Eliminate waste in the production process(Lean Deployment) ,Value Chain (Value Chain Mapping) • Initiate design competitions in conjunction with PD • Cost & Design Targets – Team of 4 • Provide and conduct cross carline comparison • Champion, together with PMT, the development of targets and secure supplier commitment (via Supplier On Board Agreement (SOBA)) • Engineering Change Management • Agree and negotiate CRID plan with Supplier/Engineering (TVM) • TVM ER process/global & regional negotiations • Handle Raw Material negotiation • Support distressed supplier management

Sourcing • Develop and maintain Full Service Suppliers capable of meeting quality, cost, timing and technology expectations • Ensure Commodity Purchasing direction on sourcing and resourcing actions aligns with approved commodity strategies • Approve sourcing action based on Commodity Purchasing direction • Review long-term strategies and supplier performance with customers (PD, VO, etc.) and seek input from organizations such as STA and MP&L, IQ • Support vehicle launches • Monitor suppliers' capacity and supervise capacity studies Quality • Supervise the section's efforts to maintain a Q1 certified supply base and drive implementation of suppliers' Q1 plans, if they are not Q1 certified • Monitor suppliers' Q1 activities, including Q1 Deviations/Waivers and Q1Action Plan implementation • Champion specific vehicle line recall issues/settlements and support Commodity Purchasing on cross- vehicle line recall issues/settlements Cost • Drive the process to eliminate waste in the value chain through the use of Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing Deployment, Total Cost Management, Cost Tables, etc. • Encourage suppliers' on-going part specific MCR design initiatives • Champion supplier commitment to program targets • Consolidate and respond to cost requests/studies • Monitor supplier performance to non-design cost reduction targets • Identify and develop plans to offset currency problems and drive actions to resolve negative currency impacts Delivery/Timing • Monitor supplier delivery to ensure continuity of production • Ensure containment and resolution plans are developed and implemented when/if part shortages occur •Identify the need for long-lead funding, assure prototype orders are issued no later than 12 weeks prior to MRD, facilitate approval of compression funding •Ensure Program Management has required sample timing and prototype parts to support builds
