LLM Security Research at Montpellier University Hospital 🧠🔒 | Health AI Alliance: received €14,9m in 2026 through France 2030. During this experience, I conducted research on protecting Large Language Models (LLMs) from prompt injection (query manipulation) and jailbreaking (bypassing AI safety constraints) attacks, as part of an LLM deployment at the Montpellier University Hospital Center. Key Achievements: - 🧩 Gained in-depth knowledge of LLM attack methodologies. - 🏴☠️ Hands-on training and pentesting in prompt injection and jailbreaking. - 🛡️ Researched available LLMSecOps protection tools, including: - Input analysis algorithms. - LLM Guard, an AI tool ensuring input/output policy compliance. - ⚙️ Analysed automated pentesting tools for LLMs. - 📚 Based research on security frameworks from OWASP, Lakera, MITRE ATLAS, Cloud Security Alliance, and ANSSI. - 🔍 Performed risk analysis and presented attack scenarios aligned with MITRE ATT&CK. - 🧱 Developed a taxonomy of AI security stakeholders. - 🧮 Designed secure pipeline architectures for both LLM usage and pentesting within the ERIOS Assistant. - 🌐 Contributed to the OWASP community on LLM security topics. -🧾 Authored an academic paper on the opportunities and risks of LLMs in the healthcare sector, proposing practical risk management strategies.
