I'm leading a research group at the University of Copenhagen. We focus on lanthanide solution chemistry, fluorescent dyes and fluorescence technology. We are currently expanding the activities in the area of lanthanide chemistry thanks to a Young Investigator Grant from Villum Fonden. My research has been supported by grants from the Danish Research Council, Innovationsfonden, the Villum Foundation, the Lundbeck Foundation, the Novo Nordisk Foundation, Copenhagen Spin-Outs, and the Carlsberg Foundation. For News and current events please visit the group website.
Curiosity driven professor working in chemistry, materials science, and innovation with a strong starting point in fluorescence. Proud PI of a research group at the Department of Chemistry
Continued my track as a researcher, inventor, educator and first and foremost: Chemist.
I started 2014 as Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of Copenhagen. My salary courtesy of the Carlsberg Foundation. The time was spend partly in the laboratory, partly in Oxford, partly traveling the world building my network, but mostly working towards creating a company to commercialize our game changing optical sensor technology.
KU Dyes specialise in providing fluorescent dyes for demanding fluorescence technology applications. High stability, high brightness, long emission lifetime, and responsive systems can be found in the new products brought to market.
Fast Reliable Sensor systems develop and market 2nd generation optical sensors for pH and DO. 2nd generation optical sensors feature long shelf-life, long operation time, full sterilisation stability and high precision.
