The YES Founders Foundation, a German non-profit organization, pioneers in fostering youth empowerment, entrepreneurship and job creation in underserved regions through dynamic youth engagement. Our approach combines workshops and youth-led changemaking challenges that drive significant social change by empowering young individuals. Notable contributions include: 1) Youth Empowerment Pilots: Assisted in implementing and transferring the youth-led changemaking model through a partnership approach to Zimbabwe, Kenya, and Mexico. This strategy has enabled several hundred young people in these regions to start youth-led ventures and revenue generating activities in their communities, fostering a robust changemaker mindset. 2) AfricaX Initiative: Led AfricaX, a project involving 100 in person video interviews with changemakers and mission driven entrepreneurs across 20 African countries. The project aimed to unearth common strategies for success, elevate African role models, and understand what’s essential to nurturing young changemakers and entrepreneurs in a technologically evolving landscape. 3) Entrepreneurial Education and Empowerment: Adapted a unique approach to youth-led changemaking, providing young people with the tools and minimal resources (starting at 10 USD) to initiate small-scale business ventures, cultivating agency and self-efficacy. I also co-authored the book YES! Youth-led Changemaking. Global Perspective and Leadership Insight: Through these initiatives, I have developed an in-depth understanding of the nuances in fostering youth empowerment, entrepreneurship and innovation.
