Joined NOV as a consultant to support commissioning on site in Singapore on five Noble jackups. Lead engineer and coordinator for various NOV drilling systems products such as Cyberbase, HMI, PLC, databases, virtual server, network.
Worked in the aftermarket department delivering upgrade projects to rigs in operation. Job entails control system development, planning, project handover, documentation and testing. Software programming configuration in PLC (Siemens Step7). Part of NOV second line support team.
Act as middleman between hospital and system supplier. Administrate various IKT disciplines such as firewall, user/role access, testing, upgrade. Part of project team, coordinate in DevOps design, planning, system integrations, technical solutions with supplier and project.
Liaise with customer to find solutions, enhancements and updates to their drilling rig. Analyse risk, cost and price to create quote. Plan scope of work with engineers and follow up with project manager.
Upgrade of Safety & Automation Systems (SAS) (PCS7 and WinCC) for oil and gas processing plants. Responsible for outsourcing by assigning, coordinating and verifying work tasks to the Mumbai office.
Various roles within Human Machine Interface (HMI) and automation (PLC) in both new rigs and upgrades. Service engineer travelling to shipyards and offshore for commissioning and service. Responsible for the HMI software in NOV. Technical lead in projects. Coordinating engineers of different disciplines. Held training courses for both customers (end-users) and internal.
