This is a great opportunity for my Quality and Test background to continue BIRNS' excellence in quality and move forward to even better achievements. After one (1) year plus: 1. Retained ISO certification by passing our surveillance audit, 2. Implemented new procedures and indoctrinated personnel in appropriate use of those procedures which has resulted in an increased awareness (by discovery in house) of quality and a decrease in customer found problems, along with flow-down to our vendors to increase quality and reduce delays, 3. Helped implement new production processes for a significant project enabling maximum throughput with zero defects to the customer, 4. Develop the QMS and top level documentation and incorporating and utilize existing supporting documentation (level 3 W.I.'s) to transition the company into ISO9001:2008 certification. Centralize and modernize Document Control, Calibration, MRR/NCR system, and CAR/PAR systems.
Three of the closely related companies of Channel Technologies Incorporated (Sonatech, International Transducer Corp., & Channel Industries) were combined, as divisions, into a new company: Channel Technologies Group. All the quality functions at each of the Divisions have been folded into a single group under my direction. Reporting to the COO of CTG, I am responsible for the Quality Management Systems and Product Quality. The current objectives of the Quality Department are to restructure the quality system to achieve a single quality system that will encompass all three divisions and to obtain a single ISO certification for CTG. While all three divisions are sequentially related, the processes within each are very different; the creation of the QMS to accomplish this task is an exciting challenge. In addition I have also accepted the special project of mapping and optimizing processes and process flows within, and among, the three divisions. Currently hold active Secret Clearance
