Connecting people under the flag of sustainable industry is what drives me. Many years of experience in senior management in the chemical industry and with publicly funded projects have made me humble before the upcoming challenges of the future. I am convinced that only together with cross-functional teams bursting by diversity can we succeed on the road to a sustainable future.
EIT Climate-KIC is the EU’s climate innovation initiative, working to accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon and resilient world by enabling systems transformation. Headquartered in Amsterdam, it operates from 13 hubs across Europe and is active in 39 countries. EIT Climate-KIC was established in 2010 and is predominately funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union. As a Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC), it brings together more than 400 partners from business, academia, the public and non-profit sectors to create networks of expertise, through which innovative products, services and systems are developed, brought to market and scaled-up for impact.
SusChem is the European Technology Platform for Sustainable Chemistry. It was created in 2004 as a joint initiative between Cefic, DECHEMA, EuropaBio, GDCh, ESAB and RSC with the main objective to revitalise and inspire European chemistry and industrial biotechnology research, development and innovation in a sustainable way.

We represent large, medium and small chemical companies across Europe, which directly provide 1.2 million jobs and account for 14.7% of world chemical production. Based in Brussels since our founding in 1972, we interact on behalf of our members with international and EU institutions, non-governmental organizations, the international media, and other stakeholders.
