About

I'm a recent graduate of Unity College with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Earth and Environmental Science. I've had experience working with image analysis in GIS as well as conducting geomorphic and hydrologic surveys on streams and other landforms. During my first years at college, I was able to work on a project with Dr. Kevin Spigel, a geoscience professor at Unity College, which involved creating a stage-discharge rating curve for a local stream. I found that I enjoyed working with water resources and decided to explore this interest further by working with a local lake association on a project to further understand the chemistry of natural water sources and how changes in this chemistry can effect the biology of the local watershed. I have also had a great deal of experience working with GIS and am currently volunteering a few hours each week to be a GIS and geology tutor for other students. My short term career goal is to attend graduate school and obtain a Master's degree in Environmental Science or Hydrology. Eventually, I would like to be able to lead my own research and work towards further understanding and conserving our water resources.
