Consultant plastic surgeon My NHS practice is based at North Bristol Hospitals Trust, and Gloucester Royal Hospital. My subspecialty interests include skin cancer and sarcoma, breast and limb reconstruction. I also offer a choose and book service for NHS patients in hand surgery at the Winfield Hospital Gloucester and the Spire Southbank Hospital Worcester. My private practice is centered at the Spire Glen and Nuffield Hospitals in Bristol, the Nuffield Hospital Cheltenham, the Winfield Hospital Gloucester and the Spire Southbank Hospital Worcester. I can consult on and perform the full range of non-surgical cosmetic treatments as well as cosmetic and breast surgery. I am registered with all the major insurance providers. I am a member of Bristol University Court and involved in the assessment and selection of medical students and plastic surgery trainees. I am an invited speaker to BAPRAS, ESPRAS and AO advanced courses. I have over 30 peer review publications and am a contributor to medical texts.
I work jointly with Umraz khan in providing the plastic surgery support for the lower limb reconstructive service in Bristol. We receive complex patients from the Southwest UK and South Midlands. We cover three orthoplastic lists a week and a weekly multidisciplinary orthoplastic clinic. I also provide a weekly outreach service in Gloucester Royal Hospital for patients north of Bristol. We are involved in trials and research. We both teach on advanced AO and BAPRAS Courses and international conferences. In progress we are writing the lower limb reconstruction chapter for the Oxford Textbook of Plastic Surgery. I also work jointly with Paul Wilson in providing the Bristol and area Sarcoma Service. We have a weekly clinic where patients can be assessed, scanned, and biopsied in one stop. All cases are discussed at our weekly MDT before clinic, which is also supported by our clinical nurse specialist and oncologists. I have edited the sarcoma section of the new Springer Plastic surgery textbook. I also treat skin cancer and am a core member of the MDT. I work at a variety of private hospitals offering cosmetic/body recontouring surgery and reconstruction.
