Administer an existing pool of compute servers for the engineering department at SGI. This pool consists of SGI, IBM, SUN, and Linux servers. Evaluate, recommend, and implement new servers for the compute server pool. Maintain a SAN environment using SGI's CXFS filesystem. Maintain a NIS enviroment for the engineering servers. Add clients to the Commvault Simpana backup system and maintain and monitor backups. Monitor computer servers availability and performance with Nagios.
Used Microsoft's Access to write several forms for employee data management for local companies.
Wrote C programs for use by CAD engineers to manipulate electrical and mechanical data to process printed circuit boards.
