Hello readers! I am a passionate and versatile M.Sc. Electromechanical Engineer, specializing in aeronautics. My love for sailing has inspired me to explore the challenges of aeronautical science. During my academic career at the Polytechnic School of Brussels, I completed numerous engineering projects and an internship at Doga in Barcelona, where I developed innovative methods to simulate wiper systems. My master's thesis focused on "Topological Optimization of a Gearbox Carrier for Composite Manufacture," and I graduated cum laude in June 2022. Since October 2023, I have been working at CERN, coordinating worksites for the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) project. I manage planning and activities, fostering teamwork and optimizing the project while addressing stakeholders' needs. These experiences have fueled my ambition to pursue an MBA to further develop my project management skills, a field in which I have a strong interest. Outside of work, I enjoy history, meeting new people, and practicing fencing, tennis, and sailing. I am a native French speaker, fluent in English, and have basic knowledge of Dutch. Based on my overview of the whole Project HL-LHC and since my mission of coordination for the infrastructure part ended, I decided to help two strategic parts of the project. I joined the EN-CV Project Management team to accomplish the commissioning of the Cooling & Ventilation buildings. This includes verifying the snag list of the contractors, the documentation of the commissioning process and the writing of quotation requests for future activities still pending. I joined also the Cryogenics Project Management team in order to plan and schedule the project of the cryogenics module to reinstall in the tunnel early 2028. This project from scratch is very exciting where I need to estimate the time and resources, propose a viable schedule and meet all stakeholders in other to prepare this project which is on the critical path of the HL-LHC Project. Along this new activities, I stay member of the EN-ACE group responsible for the Accelerator Coordination & Engineering assisting the group in the preparation of the Long Shutdown 3.
I have the pleasure to coordinate and to plan all activities of two incredible worksites. HL-LHC, one of the biggest project in the world, aims to upgrade the Large Hadron Collider by upgrading the beam speed, angle of collision and thus the number of collision, the Luminosity. This central position offers me a way to develop technical and coordination skills. Here is a typical week with this job : - Review the short-term planning in order to verify coactivities and to anticipate issues. - Organize and manage several meeting such as Worksite Weekly meeting and Coordination Weekly meeting in order to follow-up the activities acting as a facilitator. - Participate in the Integration meeting to be the bridge between the installation reality and the 3D based model. - Organize and manage long-term planning review with all contract responsible. - Participate to all on-site meeting to prepare the activity in term of planning, safety and coordination issues. - Collaborate with the Safety Officer to avoid coactivities and health issue on worksite. - Be available and reactive to all coordination questions from stakeholders. - And so more tasks to run the worksite efficiently and safely.
During 3 months, I managed a project for Doga. I was in charge of building the first steps to simulate their washer wiper system through Creo Parametric and Altair Inspire. This project of research and development was completely new in this field. The goal was to offer to the company a new way of testing and designing numerically instead of doing laboratory simulation.
Durant 6 ans j’ai co-fondé et coordonné les Marcheurs de la Paix. Cette association d’étudiants du secondaire organisait des projets afin d’améliorer le confort des élèves dans leur établissement. Ces projets permettaient également de financer l’un des axes majeurs de l’organisation; la lutte contre le harcèlement.
