Hello! I’m Tom, VP of Content at Blinkist. Blinkist is a mobile learning startup that helps people understand the key insights in nonfiction books, allowing them to learn and grow. Our ultimate ambition at Blinkist is to build the leading destination for the modern lifelong learner. My role at Blinkist unites two of my greatest passions: reading, and making knowledge accessible and understandable to all. I’m a (passable) writer and editor with an unhealthy obsession with history – especially political history. Blinkist is a mobile learning startup that helps people understand the key insights in nonfiction books, allowing them to learn and grow. As Head of English Content, I lead a team of Content Managers; together, we’re responsible for the production of Blinkist’s products: Books-in-Blinks and the Blinkist Minute. To produce content for these two products, we’ve built a Content Production System comprising of over 50 content producers that enables Blinkist to generate high-quality, consistent content at a regular pace. Currently, I am working on researching and innovating around potential new content products. I am especially passionate about discovering new ways to make information and knowledge accessible to all, and how Blinkist can help lead this.
