Protection and Prevention professional with over two years of experience in GBV prevention, women's protection and empowerment, child protection, and community-based protection. Experienced in leading trainings, capacity-building initiatives, and community engagement activities. Certified ToT in EMAP and EA$E, with a strong commitment to promoting safety, dignity, gender equality, and sustainable social change in humanitarian settings.
As a GBV Prevention Officer, I lead and coordinate community-based initiatives to prevent gender-based violence and promote gender equality. My work focuses on empowering women and girls through awareness-raising, capacity building, and community engagement. I design and implement prevention strategies, including training sessions for community leaders and volunteers, safety audits, and behavior change campaigns. I also collaborate with local partners, service providers, and protection actors to create safer environments and ensure survivors have access to timely and appropriate services. My role requires a strong understanding of GBV core concepts, guiding principles, and culturally sensitive approaches to prevention.
As a Community-Based Protection Assistant, I worked hand-in-hand with refugees communities to identify protection concerns and support community-led solutions. My role was all about listening, learning, and empowering people—especially women, youth, and persons with specific needs—to have a voice in decisions that affect them. I conducted safety audits, supported referrals for urgent cases, organized awareness sessions, and helped build strong, trusted relationships between communities and service providers. It was a role that taught me the power of empathy, communication, and collaboration in protection work.
