Hello! My name is Tho Vo, and I graduated High School in homes to continue my studies at CSU, Sacramento! I am someone who aspires to become a music educator with a strong foundation in percussion performance, ensemble leadership, and student mentorship. As the Percussion Captain of my high school marching band and performance programs, I developed leadership, organization, and teaching skills through my work with musicians within my ensemble, my management of equipment logistics and my contributions to high-level ensemble performances. My experience in marching band, winter percussion, cultural performance groups has enhanced my musicianship and teamwork abilities and my discipline. I have developed professional skills through my musical activities and my part-time employment which has improved my ability to manage time and communicate with others. The combination of my experiences has led me to pursue a career in music education because I want to become a music director who inspires and supports the next generation of musicians. I am preparing to study Music Education at Sacramento State which will help me develop as a performer, leader, and educator. My passion lies in establishing positive learning environments which promote collaboration and use music as a means for personal development and expression and community building.
