Ensure all financial transactions relating to Hotel's accounting functions are accurate to a high degree and all relevant policies and procedures are followed. Responsibility for all overnight functions at the resort including Dispatch and customer service support.
A 3-star hotel with 141 rooms in the heart of Glasgow. This night-shift role involves completing the daily night audit, balancing the finances and carrying out other essential work, including: IT; health and safety; security and maintenance; housekeeping; food and beverage.
Managing café with more than £8000 weekly revenue and up to 300 customers per day; staff training, restocking, problem solving, customer service, and maintaining a safe and clean service area. Achievements include: reduced closing times by 50 per cent; increased retail sales by improving access to products; increased productivity by 25 per cent, allowing more to be done in less time.
This is a 5-star resort on the West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island, famous for glaciers and sand flies. I worked primarily as a support member of the team, either helping wait tables, clean a few dishes or tend to the bar (I make some great cocktails); basically helping out to get things done.
