Experience

  • Company Spokesman & Horologist at Richard Mille Watches
    Jan 2002 - Present · 24 yrs 7 mos

When I began working at Richard Mille Watches more than 20 years ago, there were only about three of us…Today, the brand has seen tremendous growth and now counts several hundred employees covering watchmaking, parts production, sales and administrative positions around the globe. During this formative time, I was responsible for fulfilling innumerable tasks. This included among other things: the creation of texts, concepts, structure and the beta-testing of our first website with a state of the art back office database system; the art direction for the photography used in our book productions; the texts and editing of two major volumes; the responsibility for running the Richard Mille online forum; the writing of all press kits; brand presentations at major events in Europe and the Far East, liaising with journalists; the organization and guidance of journalist and VIP client tours at our factory; digital after sales support and the training of retail sales staff around the globe. Through the course of time, these various roles have been taken over by a whole score of fantastic colleagues who entered the company during the last decade’s period of extreme growth. Today, as the company’s resident horological expert and spokesman, it is an honor for me to be the caretaker of this dynamic company’s incredible history.

My assistance and advice for small independent watchmakers such as Kari Voutilainen, Roger Smith, Rexhep Rexhepi, Stepan Sarpaneva and Bernhard Zwinz, amongst several others, has provided me with an extremely successful, proven track record in supplying active, specialized support for horological PR/Marketing as well as creative consultancy within the high-end watchmaking industry since 2002. This covers the gamut from the creation of a brand identity to the writing of books, articles, consulting, forum management, client relations, web site communication and coordination.
