During my two internships at SHM I worked for both SHM ltd and the SHM foundation - the commercial and charitable sides of the organisation. SHM use their academic grounding to provide insight in to the issues that organisations and people face. At SHM I both participated in and led projects for numerous clients, which involved me in team management, research, interviewing and report writing. For the SHM foundation, I played a role in the Youth Commission UK project, which aims to get young people involved with the decisions of the UK Police Commissioners. This led me to work with a variety of young people, organising and facilitating events from which I collected information for SHM's aims and collated it in to reports and blogs.
I worked at Dishes as a part-time member of staff whilst at secondary school, and in my first years of university. During my time at Dishes I progressed through various roles in the kitchen. Working here always required good teamwork and communication with a variety of people.
