As a Senior Software Engineer in Amazon Supply Chain, Demand Planning Team: - I led a team of 3 engineers to reduce latency of the Demand Planning module by optimizing redshift queries and backend rearchitecture - Developed the forecast refresh feature in Demand Planning, allowing customers to redrive forecasts before publishing them - As a Security Guardian in ASC, I guided service teams in assessing risks, developing mitigations, and responding to security events. I assisted in 12 major features. - Served as an advising engineer across several inter-team feature launches, assisting with design, implementation, and eventual launch.
I was a software developer on the S3 Request Analytics/Observability team. During my time on this team: - Led a team of 3 engineers to launch a new field in S3 Server Access Logs and Cloudtrail Events. This metric enables customers to safely determine whether or not their S3 Buckets are safe to migrate to Bucket Policies from legacy ACLs, and identify what to migrate based on their traffic. - Developed a log diving tool, backed by EMR, to scan petabytes of S3 service logs. This tool allowed for adhoc SQL queries against request logs, for a service with with 100s of millions of requests per second, in real time. - Led 2 engineers to develop a data lake for S3 configurations, allowing S3 operators to identify blast radius of potentially security risks. Prior to this tool, investigations would take weeks, this service reduced this time to minutes.
