Senior Administrative Executive at Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations, with a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Studies from the University of Malaya. Passionate about leveraging language and Chinese culture to enrich daily life and community engagement. Coming from a humble background, I am committed to continuous learning and professional growth, seeking opportunities to gain knowledge and broaden experience.
As a Chinese tutor, I conduct Chinese comprehension and Chinese essays writing lessons for students in Malaysia aged between 8 to 12 every week via Zoom in the way of 1-1 lesson and small scaled group by guiding in Chinese. I prepare teaching materials, mark students’ homework, and communicate with parents for every lesson.
During my internship at the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (KLSCAH), I assisted in preparing a special exhibition on its history by searching archives and supporting guided tours. I participated in tours for representatives of government organizations and the public, gaining valuable experience in cultural event organization and stakeholder engagement.
I worked as a writer for the Federation of Heng Ann Association Malaysia to publish “The Malaysia Henghua Personalities” which record the contribution of Heng Ann people in Malaysia throughout different areas of society. Through this program, I managed to write articles for seven seniors and had the opportunity to interview Datuk Tan Keng Chok, the former Executive Director of Kuala Lumpur Municipal Council.
I worked as a research assistant in the department, and this gave me the channel to get in touch with the administration during my spare time. I also participate in activities such as activities and talks.
