For the last 28 years I've been at the intersection of design and engineering, turning concepts into accessible, high-fidelity prototypes and production-grade UI at Channel 4, MoneySuperMarket and beyond. I've shipped experiences for streaming platforms, Fire TV, web, and immersive 3D environments using React, NextJS, Svelte, VueJS, ThreeJS and WebGL. I'm an accessibility specialist and evangelist. I've helped major banks and streaming platforms understand and implement accessibility as a core pillar of their experiences. I understand WCAG inside out: not as a checklist but because universally designed, accessible UI is a better UI. The web should be for everyone.
Built high-fidelity React/Next.js prototypes and production UI components for web and Fire TV platforms. Worked directly with Product and UX to translate concepts into pixel-perfect, interactive experiences — often at a level of finish that blurred the line between prototype and production. Led technical accessibility practice becoming the recognised cross-team authority on WCAG 2.1/2.2 compliance. Key work included: Bitmovin player integration with custom audio overlays, TV remote navigation systems, performance-optimised UI for low-powered Fire Stick hardware, and immersive UI exploration using Three.js and WebGL.
Led a team of four Accessibility Consultants. Provided A11Y consultancy for key clients like HSBC and Barclays Bank including audits, improved code samples, and training. Designed and delivered multiple seminars and workshops on accessibility for a wide range of large companies in groups of 5 - 400
