My career spans 30 years across retail beauty, laser and energy-based device technology, independent clinical practice ownership, and academic leadership in dermal sciences; a progression that has given me a rare, ground-up understanding of client experience, clinical service delivery, and facility-level operations. As Unit Convenor for all four clinical placement units in Victoria University's public-facing Dermal Teaching Clinic, I lead clinical education, quality assurance, and patient-safety governance for a program that supports 150–200 students annually and a team of 25–30 clinical supervisors. This includes competency-based assessment frameworks, supervisor induction and mentoring, and progression systems that maintain consistent standards of care across an authentic healthcare environment, including patients referred through hospital partnerships and complex clinical presentations. I work closely with technology and product partners, including Sciton, Solta Medical, Candela Medical, Clinical Imaging Australia and Dermocosmetica, to integrate emerging treatment technologies and product education into clinical training. Prior to academia, I founded and operated Femme Epidermal Clinic for 15 years, achieving a 98% client retention rate, experience that continues to inform how I think about service quality, patient experience and operational standards. I also contribute to applied clinical research, including an Honours project on objective skin assessment and clinical imaging within a collaborative dermatology trial, work that has been featured in national media (A Current Affair) and international wellness programming.

The platform reflected my own educational journey from commencing my Bachelor of Health Science at Victoria University through to qualifying as a dermal clinician, and reinforced a long-standing interest in communicating science to non-specialist audiences.
