Power Gas is the largest producer and distributor of CNG in Nigeria. Its overarching objective entails delivering dependable, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable energy solutions tailored for both commercial enterprises and individual consumers across Nigeria, with a particular emphasis on addressing the unique requirements of off-grid and captive power sectors. I am here to achieve that goal.
I reengineered the ACPML finance department in 2012 and have since managed its growth from a weak position to an established enterprise. As CFO, I drive processes involving financial analysis, forecasting, internal controls, corporate finance, financial accounting, and risk management for a business with an annual turnover in tens of millions USD. Key highlights during my tenure: 1) Led implementation of SAP ERP in record time and successfully managed IFRS conversion within budget 2) Reduced 75% of bank charges to zero transaction charges and below industry average loan and credit pricing, a milestone for the maritime industry 3) Defended and reduced the tax liability of the company by 83%
I established my independent professional services practice to support SMEs in financial planning, sales analysis, marketing, strategy, and business development.
Launching a start-up within a larger multinational, I established with 2 others the Finance department of Centrica Energy (FORTUNE 500 company) in Nigeria as part of a three-person team, which was later nominated twice for the “Team of the Year” award within Centrica Group.
