Sup Kids Haarlem is a sports club where kids can learn the sport of stand up paddleboarding. Since its founding in 2022, the initiative has grown into the largest kids sup training group in the Netherlands and has been endorsed by the city of Haarlem’s Sportakkoord and Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur.
I help organisations to further their business and digital transformation by applying technology. With clients from a vast range of industries, I help them streamline processes and sharpen their strategies. My role depends on the client’s needs, including business analyst, digital transformation manager, developer, programme manager and project manager. Projects included: - create business case for and development of back office application for a scale-up in the real estate photography business. The solution required development of a SaaS application, including the integration of multiple APIs. - development of advertising wrapper and implement Prebid.js for a Dutch online publisher with 15 websites, resulting in double to triple digit revenue growth compared with the previous advertising setup. - strategic ad operations, including development of a JavaScript admanager that allowed for a frictionless migration between ad platforms - content coordinator for Intermediair.nl a.i. - Set up a workflow management tool and KPI dashboard for a publisher in Zoho Creator. - project manager at top-3 newspaper publisher for a new interactive online platform. Project launched on time and within budget. - website analysis and recommend changes for a manufacturer in the home automation space with the goal of improving online lead generation. - perform vendor selection and draft business process for a publisher looking to build out its lead generation business - development and optimization of a review website that helps entrepreneurs select accountancy solutions.

Following Downdetector's acquisition by Ookla (part of Ziff Davis, NASDAQ: ZD), I acted as Product Director and Product Owner. Responsibilities included: - Reposition enterprise proposition. - Engage in Enterprise sales and gradually hand-off sales responsibility to newly hired sales team. - Work with software architect to increase the platforms resiliency and stability during times of peak demand - Work with design and internal development teams to redesign the public website - Work with internal design and external mobile development teams to create new Enterprise Mobile App - Part of daily development stand-up meeting and acting as scrum master - Reporting to VP of Product - Downdetector is nominated for a Webby Award 2020
Downdetector is the pioneer and global leader in crowd-sourced outage detection. Ziff Davis, part of J2 Global (NASDAQ: JCOM, later spun off into NASDAQ: ZD) acquired Downdetector in Aug 2018. Following the acquisition, Downdetector's operations were merged into Ookla, another J2 subsidiary. Downdetector's outage detection is based on the automated, real-time aggregation, validation and analytics of problem reports from end users, including the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The analysed data is published on the public Downdetector websites, the Downdetector mobile apps for iOS and Android, a skill for the Alexa smart speaker and through Enterprise offerings. At the time of the acquisition by Ookla, Downdetector monitored over 4,400 services in 32 countries and had enterprise clients in telecommunications, banking, gaming, cloud services and IT management. As co-founder and CEO, my responsibilities included: - global B2B sales, client development and support - Create a sales and lead generation mechanism that resulted in a client portfolio including Fortune 500 providers around the world in verticals including Telecommunications, Gaming, Finance and Cloud services, - Create and optimize advertising operations, including development of a tailored ad wrapper to run prebid.js with Google Admanager and IAB CMP. - Manage web development team (Python Django stack running on AWS) - Manage 3rd party mobile app development party - Daily site maintenance - General management
