Developing Kaarigarshala, a living makerspace dedicated to documenting and reviving traditional crafts, artisanal knowledge systems, and ancient technologies in Central India. Through research, fieldwork, and material experimentation, the initiative explores low-tech, low-carbon production systems rooted in local materials, ecological knowledge, and circular resource flows. The work involves studying and documenting traditional metallurgy, bamboo crafts, weaving, natural materials, bullock-powered machinery, oil mills, and other indigenous technologies to understand how they can inform resilient and sustainable futures. By bringing together artisans, researchers, designers, and technologists, Kaarigarshala investigates alternatives to extractive industrial models while creating pathways for knowledge preservation, innovation, and dignified livelihoods.
Building in Stealth
As part of Climate KIC & SecondMuse's pre-incubator, I am working in the circular economy space. My project 'SustainCircles' is working towards reducing plastic packaging from groceries & FMCGs by exploring the refillable model with an innovative approach focusing on legacy brand integration. The focus is on idea validation, prototype development, and testing. Building a prototype of an industry first vacuum-to-vaccum dispensing system that allows for a longer shelf life & the highest quality standards.
