Sovam is an airport ground vehicles manufacturing company in France. It is a french SME with 130+ employees. Although, I am a technical buyer in the company, my scope of activities isn't limited to just purchasing. Purchasing activities:- Identification and selection of suppliers for references with a unitary price of up to 6000 € and currently managing 25 different references Actively carrying out cost reduction plans for the flagship vehicles. Negotiating and dealing with suppliers on technical aspects and pricing per mechanical process, thanks to a bachelors in Mechanical engineering. Handling the sourcing of welded metallic structures of upto 2 tones, axles and tyres. Data analysis activities:- Complete supplier analysis of up to 500 plus suppliers for more than 10000 references Determination of risk levels of suppliers based on probability and impact In the course of developing a 3D risk analysis matrix with the velocity of impact of the risk as a third dimension Evaluation of risk per category including overhead suppliers Categorizing suppliers based on risk levels and developing and implementing action plans ( WIP) Analysis of inventory to obtain reliable intelligence to help in better decision making. In-depth spend analysis (WIP) Supply Chain activities:- Demand forecasting Complete stock analysis Determination of Optimal inventory levels and service levels Identification of problematic stocks and the corresponding solutions in terms of order quantities, RCA Determination of obsolete stocks and their solutions Identification of long lead time references supported by Pareto analysis and ABC classification and their corresponding solutions.
