I work at the intersection of leadership, business development, and sustainability, with a focus on creating long-term value where people, operations, and responsibility meet. My leadership experience is shaped by decision-making under conditions where consequences are immediate, irreversible, and high-risk. I have held leadership roles in international conflict and crisis environments, combined with executive experience from highly regulated, safety-critical industries. This background has made decision-making a professional discipline in my work — not as theory, but as practice under time pressure, complexity, and uncertainty. Leadership in such environments leaves no room for postponed responsibility. Decision quality is measured directly on outcomes, which has fundamentally influenced my leadership philosophy and continues to guide my professional priorities. At Viggo Bendz A/S, our ambition is to be the preferred partner within recycling of metals, waste, and other valuable resources. We take a highly practical, customer-centric approach: testing materials with suppliers, designing and building plants in close collaboration with customers, and advising on where recycling creates the greatest economic and environmental value. In parallel, we support entrepreneurs with spare parts for heavy machinery to ensure operational reliability and efficiency. Alongside this, I have extensive experience leading employees, leaders, and functions, as well as developing and scaling an SME into a regional player. As a result, I primarily engage in forums and advisory contexts where strategic and operational sparring takes place at an advanced level. I also act as an advisor with Early Warning, working closely with business owners and CEOs on turnaround and restructuring processes. This work has deepened my understanding of the human dimension of crisis leadership — and what it takes to recover operationally and mentally when pressure is highest. My background includes executive responsibility within aviation, contributing to a strong safety and decision-making culture.
