I'm the former Director of Product Ethics at a Fortune 50 Media and Tech Conglomerate and an award winning researcher, educator, and consultant, specialized in representation and assessments in tech and media. Currently up to no good (reach out if you need your ML or algorithms audited for fairness, representation, bias, and robustness - more to come soon). With a background in ESG/CSR consulting, I have shaped my career around building socially sustainable products. I am particularly concerned with representativeness, fairness, and bias in the development of technology. Awarded the 2022 Kraka Award, my research has been published internationally and I have lectured across the world (Columbia University, Pennsylvania State University, Roskilde University, Aalborg University, Lund University, Copenhagen University, etc.). Former fellow at NYU Institute for Public Interest Technology and started the first ever Product Ethics practice as a Director at Comcast NBCUniversal. I do board work too - for instance I serve on the advisory board to the Danish Pioneer Centre for AI.
I am an experienced and passionate global public speaker. I frequently give keynotes, lectures, talks, and workshops across the private, public, and NGO-sectors. My audiences range from academics, high school students, and university students to film- and media-creatives, activists, designers, data analysts, developers, software engineers, journalists, and others. I also enjoy participating in and moderating panels. I led the first ever Product Ethics Team at Comcast NBCUniversal. With a company wide charter, we drove processes and strategy to ensure existing and future experiences and devices were responsibly designed.
We are an ethical data consultancy. We offer a wide range of services, from how to build ethical AI to how to create fair and representative creative environments.
I teach the courses 'Fra Queer til Crip' (From Queer to Crip) and Intro to Gender studies at NorS (Department of Nordic Studies and Linguistics).
Currently researching the Danish film-industry, with a focus on production, decision-making, structures, diversity and minority representation.
I teach a yearly seminar on academic writing in English for masters-students at AAU's department for learning and philosophy in Copenhagen.
